Privacy policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This policy explains what Mslm Dev, trading as WabilApps ("we", "us"), collects through our Android apps and this website, why, and what you can do about it. It covers My Device Info (com.wabilapps.deviceinfo) and every app we publish as WabilApps. Questions go to support@wabilapps.com.
1. In short
- Our apps work fully without sharing anything with us.
- If you agree, an app sends us details about your phone and its connection, and, once you allow location, where it is. We use them to match IP addresses to places more accurately.
- We never sell them, and we don't use them for ads.
- You can stop sharing in the app's Privacy screen and have what was sent deleted, in the app or here.
2. What an app sends, if you agree
The first time you open one of our apps, it asks whether you'll share. If you tap Agree, it sends a report when you open it, when it gets a location fix while you use it, and about every 12 hours while it's closed, at most 8 reports a day. A report holds:
- Your phone: its maker, model and codename, its Android version and security patch level, your language and your time zone.
- Your mobile network: the carrier and country of your network and your SIM, and whether you're roaming.
- Your connection: whether you're on Wi-Fi, mobile data or a VPN, your phone's local addresses and DNS servers, the band, signal and speed of the Wi-Fi network you're on and whether it's a phone's hotspot, and the public IPv4 and IPv6 addresses each of your networks reaches us from. Checking your mobile network's address can turn mobile data on for a moment, at most once a day, and uses a few kilobytes of it.
- Only while you use the app, and only once you've allowed location: where your phone is (latitude, longitude, accuracy, altitude, and whether the location was simulated), the name and access point address (SSID and BSSID) of the Wi-Fi network you're on, and the mobile cell towers your phone can see, with their identifiers and signal strength.
- The app: its name and version, and an install ID, a random number it makes when it's installed. The install ID isn't derived from your phone, and uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes it.
A report sent while the app is closed never holds your location, your Wi-Fi network's name or the cell towers. No report holds your name, phone number, email address, contacts, photos or the apps you have, or any hardware identifier such as the IMEI.
3. What we add, and the checks we run
When a report arrives we record when it came and the IP address it came from. We check that reports are real: we ask Google to confirm the report came from our app, as Google Play installed it, on a genuine device (Google Play Integrity); we compare your phone's location with where its IP address is, and with the last location it reported; and we check that an install ID stays on one phone. What the checks find is stored with the report. For the last two checks we keep, apart from the reports, the last location your phone reported and the model an install ID first reported from.
4. How we use it
- To match IP addresses and mobile networks to places more accurately, and to learn how phones connect: which carriers, network types and VPNs are in use where.
- To keep what we learn honest, with the checks above, and to protect our servers from abuse.
We don't use it to build a profile of you, to show you ads or to make any decision about you. What we publish from it is about IP addresses and networks, combined across many reports: never a report, an install ID or a phone's location.
5. Who gets it
No one outside Mslm Dev. We don't sell it or rent it, and we don't share it for advertising. We store it on servers in Finland, in the EU, that we run ourselves on hardware we rent. The Play Integrity check sends Google the token your phone got from Google Play, and Google answers with its verdict; Google's privacy policy covers what it does with that. We would disclose data only where the law requires it.
6. Legal bases (EEA and UK)
We rely on your consent for the reports, which you can withdraw at any time in the app; that stops new reports, and you can have the earlier ones deleted. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the data honest and our services safe for the checks in section 3 and for server logs.
7. How long we keep it
- Reports: 13 months from when they arrive, then deleted.
- The last location used for the movement check: 7 days.
- The phone model an install ID first reported from: 90 days after its last report.
- Counts of requests per IP address and install ID, for rate limits: a day at most.
- A deletion request, which holds only the install ID: 400 days, so deleted data stays deleted.
- Server logs, holding each request's IP address, time and the page or address it asked for: 90 days. Hourly counts of the IP addresses that reach our servers most: 400 days.
- Our backups can hold a copy of deleted data for up to 8 months, until they expire. We restore from them only to recover from a failure, and delete it again if we do.
8. Your choices and rights
- Stop sharing: turn sharing off in the app's Privacy screen. The app keeps working.
- Delete: tap Delete what this phone has shared in the app's Privacy screen, or use the deletion form with your install ID. We delete everything that install sent within 30 days.
- See a copy, or correct it: write to us with your install ID.
In the EEA and the UK you can also restrict or object to how we use your data and take a copy of it, and complain to your data protection authority. In California you can ask what we collected and have it deleted or corrected; we don't sell or share personal information as California law defines those terms, and we won't treat you differently for asking. The categories we collect are identifiers (the install ID and IP addresses), precise geolocation, and information about your device and its network connections.
9. Location
Android asks you before an app can use your location, and our apps ask only on a screen that uses it, such as My Device Info's satellite view. They don't ask for location in the background, and you can turn it off in Android's settings at any time.
10. This website
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Our servers log requests to it as section 7 says. The deletion form sends the install ID you enter, and nothing else, to our API.
11. Children
Our apps aren't meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you think a child has shared data with us, write to us and we'll delete it.
12. Security
Reports travel encrypted over HTTPS, and only the people at Mslm Dev who run our servers can reach them.
13. Changes
If an app is to send anything this policy doesn't describe, it asks you again first. We post every change here, with a new date at the top.
